The character strength of LOVE has gotten a bad wrap in the workplace…and the world. There is so much more to love than romantic/sexualized love…but the fear of that in our organizations (not without good cause!) has created environments where being LOVING has also gotten a bad wrap. But being loving is an easy way to start to shift from a trauma-affected organization to a trauma-aware and sensitive one. It’s an approach that costs nothing, and helps everything! Key attributes of the strengths of love are showing genuine warmth, being supportive, appreciating the strengths in others, and caring for others’ well-being.
